What we solve

The technical questions that matter before the quote.

In packaging, speed alone isn't enough: the operator must immediately understand which enable is missing, which format is active and where the reject comes from.

01

Slow format changes

Recipes, positions and protected parameters reduce manual adjustments and uncertain restarts.

02

Rejects without a clear cause

Alarms and HMI states must point to the module, phase and condition that is generating the loss.

03

Sequences that aren't robust

Motion, enables and sensors are organised to make the machine rhythm more stable.

04

Maintenance under pressure

Readable diagnostics and tracked signals reduce fault-finding time during downtime.

From field to data

One single flow between machine, panel, software and testing.

D&D designs control around the real rhythm of the machine: field, panel, PLC, HMI and testing are read together, not as separate activities.

Automation designed for those who have to produce, verify and maintain.

An effective packaging line doesn't hide complexity: it makes it readable, so those who produce and those who maintain decide faster.

Typical applications

Where the intervention has to create control, not complexity.

Each sector page goes into the detail of the areas where D&D can bring electrical, software, testing and operational support.

Application

Primary packaging

Sequences, sensors, rejects and enables in high-frequency modules.

Application

Case packing and end of line

Conveyor management, accumulation, ejection and interlocks between modules.

Application

Motion and axes

Synchronisation, cams, profiles and controls linked to the format.

Application

Format recipes

Protected parameters and HMI pages for faster setup.

Application

Quality control

Vision, result signals, traceability and reject management.

Application

HMI/PLC revamping

Logic and interface migration without losing machine knowledge.

D&D method

First understand the process, then write the software.

On packaging lines you don't need a generic solution. You need a technical reading of constraints, signals, downtime, operators and real goals.

Operational questions

Quick answers before the first technical discussion.

Can you reduce format-change times?

We can work on recipes, positions, protected parameters and HMI pages. The real reduction depends on the machine state, but the goal is to remove ambiguity and repetitive adjustments.

Do you also work on motion and axes?

Yes. We handle motion, synchronisation, enables, sensors and HMI, coordinating them with the panel and the safety constraints.

How do you tackle recurring rejects?

We start from where the anomaly comes from: machine phase, format, sensor, alarm, quality or recipe. Then we make the causes visible in the HMI and in the data.

Can you work without stopping production for long?

Downtime planning is part of the project: we prepare analysis, development and FAT before the intervention, so the time in the field is more controlled.

Technical contact

Tell us about your packaging plant.

You don't need a complete specification. The sector, machine or line, goal and main constraints are enough: your request reaches the D&D technical team already in context.

  • An initial technical read of the request.
  • Request sent with the sector and source page.
  • Reply within 1–2 business days when the data is sufficient.
